Comprehensive Water Research Institute - Dioxin Analysis

We are rapidly conducting dioxin analysis using rapid methods at soil contamination sites, as well as dioxin analysis for various media.

Based on regulations such as the Special Measures Law for Dioxins, we conduct source control measures and investigations and measurements of contamination levels. We are certified under the Specific Measurement Certification Business (MLAP) and carry out sampling and analysis of various media, including environmental water, wastewater, ambient air, exhaust gases, soil, and sediment, under appropriate quality management. We actively participate in external precision management tests and strive daily to maintain and improve our analytical accuracy.

Dioxin analysis

Total support for dioxin measurement analysis, emission suppression consulting, and research!

To protect the environment from dioxins generated by various facilities, the Special Measures Law for Dioxins was enacted in 2000. In Hiyoshi, we quickly introduced a high-resolution gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HRGC/HRMS) system to provide comprehensive support for dioxin measurement analysis, emission suppression consulting, and research and studies. Dioxin analysis involves pre-treatment (extraction, purification) followed by instrumental analysis using various measurement devices for both instrumental analysis and biological testing methods. Dioxin analysis

[MLAP (Specific Measurement Certification System) Certification] We can conduct analyses for various media (ambient air, workplace environment, waste, blood).

What are dioxins? Dioxins is a collective term that includes polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD), polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF), and coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (co-PCB). There are 75 types of PCDD, 135 types of PCDF, and 12 types of coplanar PCBs, and their toxicity varies by isomer. Toxicity of dioxins Even among the 29 types of toxic dioxins, the toxicity varies. The most toxic, "2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin," is assigned a value of 1, and the toxicity of other dioxins is expressed relatively. This relative coefficient is called the Toxicity Equivalence Factor (TEF). The analysis results are the sum of the toxicity equivalents (TEQ) for each isomer, calculated by multiplying the measured concentration for each isomer by its Toxicity Equivalence Factor (TEF).
